Follow along with LEVEL5 Tools’ lead technician Robby Deatherage as he shows you how to change your creaser spring in less than one minute. All you need is a flathead screwdriver and a pair of needle-nose pliers to get your creaser wheel back in action.
CHANGING THE CREASER SPRING OF THE L5 AUTOMATIC DRYWALL TAPER
As most know, when applying drywall tape, the creaser wheel on the taper is extended out and used to apply drywall tape into corners or to reinforce the placement of tape on ceilings. Over time the spring that engages the creaser will lose it’s tensile strength to the point where it no longer functions properly.
Although we stand behind the rock-solid and industry leading 7-year warranty we put on all of our automatic taping & finishing tools, we believe it’s important that the finisher should be able to easily repair or replace the parts most prone to wear.
